8 Steps to be Certified by the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE)

Every expatriate engineer and technician working in Saudi Arabia is required to register with the Saudi Engineering Council to get a new Iqama or renew their existing Iqma. The Saudi Engineering Council (SCE) registration process for technicians with and without diploma certificates is outlined below.

Who needs SCE Registration?

Before proceeding, it is important to note that the following two types of expatriates require SCE registration:

• All types of Engineers

• List of 136 Technical Professions

Fees for the Saudi Council of Engineers

• SAR 500/- For Degree Verification (one-time)

• SAR 250/- Membership Fees per year for Engineers

• SAR 200/- Membership Fees per year for Technicians

Documents required for Registering on SCE

• Scanned copy of your Photograph

• Scanned copy of the Iqama

• Scanned copy of the passport

• Letter of Introduction self-attested

• Degree Certificate duly attested by the Saudi Cultural Attache in your home country

• Academic Transcript or Marksheet

Steps to Register

Step 1 - Registration

• Click on the below link to go to the Saudi Council Website: https://eservices.saudieng.sa/en//accreditation/Pages/registration.aspx

• Enter your details such as Email Address, Nationality, Iqama Number/Border Number, Membership Classification, Choose a password, and Mobile Number.

• Note: Enter the Border Number if the Iqama Number is not yet issued.

• Click "Register"

Step 2 - Verify your email

• Sign in to your email account and click on the link received to verify your account

Step 3 - Login to your SCE Account

• Sign in to your SCE account by clicking on the below link: https://eservices.saudieng.sa/en//accreditation/Pages/login.aspx

• Enter the following details:

  • Identity Type (Select Border Number if you don't have Iqama Number) otherwise select Iqama Number

  • Passport Number

• The system will automatically fetch your details

Step 4 - Personal Details

• In this Step, you have to enter your Personal Details

  • Upload your scanned Photograph

  • Country of Birth

  • Date of Birth

  • Country

  • Region

  • City of Residence

Step 5 - Membership Duration

• In this step Select the "Membership Duration in Years" (you can select up to 3 years)

• SAR 250/- Membership Fees per year for Engineers

• SAR 200/- Membership Fees per year for Technicians

Step 6 - Educational Information

• Enter the following information:

  • Specialization

  • Graduation Year

  • University

  • GPA/GPA Top Score

Step 7 - Attachments

• Employment Letter

• Passport with Visa and Border Number (If you don't have Iqama Number yet)

• Iqama Number (Not required if you don't have Iqama yet)

• Graduation Certificate Front

• Graduation Certificate Back

• Authorization Letter (Self-Attested)

• Academic Transcript

• Your Photograph

• Click Finish

Step 8 - Payment of SCE Degree Verification

• You will receive an SMS with the SADAD bill number to pay SAR 500/-. (Note the SCE will not start the process until this amount is paid.)

SMS: "please pay the fee ر.س.‏500.00 within 24 hours on the SADAD payment system . you can create a new bill through your profile Description :Bill for degree verification Invoice no. : 01XXXXXXXXXX Biller number: 123"

• Once you pay the amount, SCE will send the following confirmation SMS

SMS: "Your payment has been received and the request is under process, it takes 5 working days."

• After Initial verification, you will receive an SMS to pay the yearly membership fees. You will pay the fees as per the type of membership and the duration you have selected (1-3 years i.e 200 to 750 SAR)

SMS: please pay the fee ر.س.‏250.00 within 24 hours on the SADAD payment system . you can create a new bill through your profile Description :Bill for membership fees Invoice no. : 01XXXXXXXXX Biller number: 123

• Once you pay the membership fees, you will receive the following SMS

SMS: The Membership number XXXXX has been issued, and is valid until - 01/01/2025.Your application is now at the stage of verification of credentials, it takes 30 working days. You can print the membership card and certificate only after the notice (SMS) on completion of the verification.

• Once the final Verification is done you will receive the following SMS:

SMS: The qualification has been verified. You can print the membership card and certificate directly through your personal account.

• Congratulations now you have a Valid SCE Membership.
