The 3rd Global AI Summit is set to highlight the latest advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), bringing together over 300 speakers and specialists from 100 countries worldwide. This major event, backed by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, who also leads the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), will take place at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh from September 10 to 12.
This year’s summit, organized by SDAIA, aligns with Saudi Arabia's goal to become a global leader in AI, a vision championed by the Crown Prince. The event will offer a platform for data scientists and AI researchers to share their expertise and global insights on the latest AI developments. It also aims to support the UN’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, contributing to a brighter future for all.
Riyadh will host a diverse group of AI technology experts, policymakers, and top technology company leaders. They will gather to discuss ethical frameworks for AI use and explore how AI can drive development in various sectors, creating a better present and future for the next generations.
This summit is part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, led by the Crown Prince, which aims to position the Kingdom as a global tech hub, especially in AI. The event will feature key figures from the AI and data fields, including Stefan Schnorr from Germany’s Federal Ministry for Digitization and Transport, Professor Simon See from NVIDIA, Alex Smola from Posen for Artificial Intelligence, Julie Sweet from Accenture, and many more.
During the summit, several local and international agreements and partnerships will be signed, and new global initiatives in AI and data technologies will be launched under Saudi Arabia’s name. These efforts align with the Crown Prince’s vision of making the Kingdom a world leader in AI, leveraging its strong capabilities to adopt the latest innovations and support global efforts for the benefit of humanity.
In addition to ministers, CEOs, and international organization heads, the summit will attract top data and AI scientists who will discuss AI developments and their impact on humanity’s future. The event will include over 120 dialogue sessions and workshops, covering topics such as AI innovation, industry trends, human-AI integration, generative AI, AI ethics, and the role of AI in smart city growth.
Building on the success of the previous two summits in 2020 and 2022, this year’s edition will continue to enhance global collaboration in AI, with outcomes like the establishment of the International Center for Research and Ethics of Artificial Intelligence. The summit is a key event in Saudi Arabia’s technological growth journey, supporting Vision 2030’s goal to build a knowledge- and technology-driven economy.
